Our Inspiration
There's one consistent employee in the store for that moment, and that's me. However, that's not entirely true because I cooperate on a contractual basis with talented designers (preferably women) who help bring my ideas to life. So, I use the pronouns 'our' and 'we.'
As for the product ideas themselves, they are primarily my own, born from a culmination of life experiences, travels, walks, and interactions with interesting individuals, of whom I know quite a few. I walk in the park or the woods every day, and it's a tremendous source of strength for me. Even in ancient times, various human civilizations revered such places, often conducting their rituals here. I believe that the living nature of the Earth, especially its green parts, is a gift from a higher power (or Creator/God) to people, a fact that people often forget.
Even when a person simply gazes upon the color green, it has a calming and soothing effect. In Japan, there's even a specific art called 'shinrin-yoku,' or forest bathing, where individuals set aside time to immerse themselves in nature's details. Oddly enough, this practice makes people more focused and serene and they simply start to feel better after that.
I photographed or sketched details and ideas that catch my eye, and then I seek something similar from designers, be it a style that suits me or an existing design. I have many mood boards that later manifest into real prints and products.
The unique feature of each of our designs is that you can gaze at them endlessly, with your eyes focusing on something different each time. Flowers, leaves, abstractions, they can arrange themselves differently each time for the viewer, so they never become monotonous. I've seen these prints and designs a million times, and I still adore each one. I hope you'll love them too.
Another specific theme for me is designing in colors of nature other than green, like black, pink, orange, and red. Each color demands a separate concept because color often associates with seasons, flowers, or animals. Currently, we have collections in red and black, as well as watercolor prints.
The collection in black tones came out with a touch of sophistication, classic but a tad strict. Yet, it's still a variation of my vision of nature and its inherent beauty, which I cherish so much. Black and white, as monochrome, beautifully showcase the refinement of natural patterns, their endlessly completed forms.
Additionally, I have a deep affection for monochromatic designs where there isn't a multitude of colors but rather beautiful engravings or elegant metal cutting. Such items are also in the works and will soon be available in the store, including thermos mugs and metal-cut signs.
